Note: - Dynamic Multipoint VPN (DMVPN) is a licensed feature and requires a IPsec license
to function. For more information on how to install the license, refer to “License
Manager” chapter.
- Currently OmniAccess 5740 USG supports DMVPN interoperability with Cisco IOS
Version 12.4 (18b). We do not support interoperability with any CISCO IOS version
that has NHRP phase 3 implementation (like Cisco IOS Version 12.4(24)T2, Version
15.0(1)M1).
• Supports spoke functionality of Dynamic MultiPoint VPN technology.
• Uses NHRP client services and multi-Point GRE (Generic Routing Encapsulation)
tunnel for DMVPN.
• Supports unicast forwarding on DMVPN tunnels. Supports BGP (Border Gateway
Protocol) over DMVPN tunnels.
• Does not support multicast forwarding.
• Any other features applicable on GRE tunnel will be applicable mGRE tunnel,
unless specified.
• There is no softlimit on mGRE tunnels.
