Error Messages and Codes
Rear Bottom Fan Fail
The Rear Bottom Fan error was detected.
Applicable Chain-Link Code
• 042-343: Rear Bottom Fan Fail
Initial Actions
• Rotate the Fan manually to check for binding.
• Power cycle the printer.
• If the problem persists, follow the procedure below.

Troubleshooting Procedure
Step Actions and Questions Yes No
1 Check the Fault History.
Has error 041-330 MCU PWB F7
Blown occurred?
Is F7 on the MCU PWB open?
Note: The condition that caused
F7 to open must be corrected
before replacing the MCU PWB.
Go to step 5. Go to step 2.
2 Perform the Rear Bottom Fan
Motor test in Diagnostics.
Is the Rear Bottom fan rotating?
Go to step 5. Go to step 3.
3 Turn Off the power.
Reseat P/ J 234 and P 417.
Turn On the power.
Repeat the Rear Bottom Fan
Motor test in Diagnostics.
Is the Rear Bottom fan now
rotating?
Go to step 4. Go to step 5.
4 Does the error appear now when
making a print?
Go to step 5. Troubleshooting
complete.
