Theory of Operation
Tray 1 (MPT)
Tray 1 Size Sensor (PL13.5.4)
The Tray 1 Size Sensor detects the paper width by the position of the Tray 1
guides. As the position of the guide changes, the output voltage also changes due
to the variable resistance.
The paper width is determined by the output voltage.
Tray 1 No Paper Sensor (PL13.4.17)
The Tray 1 No Paper Sensor detects whether paper exists in Tray 1 by changes in
the Actuator.
Note
No paper: Sensor blocked
Tray 1 Feed/ Nudger Motor (PL13.2.18)
The Tray 1 Feed/ Nudger Motor raises/lowers the Nudger Roll when in forward
rotation (CW direction), and drives the Feed Roll and the Nudger Roll when in
reverse rotation (CCW direction).
