no shutdown This command is entered in the interface
configuration mode to bring up the
interface.
shutdown This command is entered in the interface
configuration mode to shutdown the
interface.

This command is entered in the interface
configuration mode to configure an IP
address for the interface.
no ip address {<ip-address

This command is used to remove the IP
