O CONFIGURE HOLDTIME FOR NHRP CACHE
Holdtime command can be used to configure the length of time that NBMA
addresses are advertised as valid in positive NHRP responses.
This command also controls how often the NHRP client will send NHRP
registration requests to its configured NHS. The default is to send NHRP
registrations every two-third of the default NHRP holdtime value (4800 seconds).
The “registration timeout” command can be used to set the interval for sending
NHRP registration requests independently from the NHRP holdtime.

NHRP network identifier.
Note: All NHRP domains/
stations within a logical
NBMA network should
be configured with the
same network identifier.
no network-id This command is used to delete the
configured network identifier.
Command (in Client Object CM) Description
holdtime <60-65535> This command is used to configure
holdtime (in seconds) for NHRP
cache.
no holdtime The “no” command resets the
holdtime to its default.
The default holdtime for NHRP
cache is 7200 seconds.
