speed
The speed Interface Configuration mode command configures the speed of a given Ethernet interface
when not using auto-negotiation. Use the no form of this command to restore the default.
Syntax
• speed { 10 | 100 | 1000 }.
• no speed
• 10 — Force 10 Mbps operation.
• 100 — Force 100 Mbps operation.
• 1000 — Force 1000 Mbps operation.
Default Configuration
Maximum port capability.
Command Mode
Interface Configuration (Ethernet, port-channel) mode.
User Guidelines
• The command ’ no speed ’ in port-channel context returns each port in the port-channel to its
maximum capability.
Example
The following example configures the speed operation of Ethernet g5 to force 100-Mbps operation.
duplex
The duplex Interface Configuration mode command configures the full/half duplex operation of a given
Ethernet interface when not using auto-negotiation. Use the no form of this command to restore the
default.
Syntax
• duplex { half | full }
• no duplex
• half — Force half-duplex operation
• full — Force full-duplex operation
