Default Configuration
The interface is set to full duplex.
Command Mode
Interface Configuration (Ethernet) mode.
User Guidelines
• Before attempting to force a particular duplex mode on the port operating at 10/100/1000 Mbps,
disable the auto-negotiation on that port.
• Half duplex mode can be set only for ports operating at 10 Mbps or 100 Mbps.
Example
The following example configures the duplex operation of Ethernet g5 to force full duplex operation.
negotiation
Use negotiation command to enable auto negotiation operation for the speed and duplex parameters of
a given interface. Use the no form of this command to disable it.
Syntax

— Specify the capabilities to advertise. Can be one or more of the following: 10h, 10f,
100h, 100f, 1000f. If unspecified defaults to list of all the capabilities of the port.

Auto negotiation default is enabled.
