190 GVRP Commands
User Guidelines
• This command forbids dynamic VLAN creation from the interface. The creation or modification of
dynamic VLAN registration entries as a result of the GVRP exchanges on an interface are restricted
only to those VLANs for which static VLAN registration exists.
Example
The following example disables dynamic VLAN creation on port g8.
gvrp registration-forbid
The gvrp registration-forbid Interface Configuration mode command de-registers all dynamic VLANs,
and prevents dynamic VLAN registration on the port. Use the no form of this command to allow
dynamic registering for VLANs on a port.
Syntax
• gvrp registration-forbid
• no gvrp registration-forbid
Default Configuration
Dynamic registering and deregistering for each VLAN on the port is allowed.
Command Mode
Interface Configuration (Ethernet, port-channel) mode.
User Guidelines
• There are no user guidelines for this command.
Example
The following example shows how default dynamic registering and deregistering is forbidden for each
VLAN on port g8.
Console (config)# interface ethernet g8
Console (config-if)# gvrp vlan-creation-forbid
Console (config)# interface ethernet g8
Console (config-if)# gvrp registration-forbid
