Checking Serial to IP Connections
Each Serial Hall Call bus originates from a Serial Hall Call Driver in the iCue cabinet. Each
Serial Hall Call Driver in turn communicates with iCue through the System Ethernet switch.

1. Verify an orange Ethernet cable from the Serial-to-Ethernet converter to the System
switch.
The Serial-to-Ethernet converters each have their own IP address. The IP address is preset at
the factory and should not need to be changed.
Always power down the serial hall call driver and wait at least one minute before installing, replacing,
disconnecting, or connecting an SC-HCME-EM or -ME serial to Ethernet board to avoid potential
damage to the board PLD from a high voltage spike.
