(5) Post Insulating Procedurr es for 777 IDG and APU BACT12M( ) Terminals.
(a) Clean the terminal and the wire insulation area using a wiper and solvent.
(b) Using #320 to #150 emery cloth and a circumferential motion, lightly abrade 2.00 ±0.25
inches of the wire insulation from the end of the terminal to a dull finish on the bonding area
of cable jacket.
(c) Wipe off the loose particles with clean wiper and solvent. Do not touch cleaned areas with
fingers.
(d) Locate the post insulation materials that were assembled on the prepared wire.
(e) Install the Zone B insulation sleeve as follows:
NOTE: Zone A not used
1) Push the Zone B BACT63E insulation sleeve forward until the forward end of the sleeve is
aligned with the bend line of the terminal tongue. Refer to Figure 7.
2) Push the sleeve forward until the forward end of the sleeve is aligned with the bend line of
the terminal tongue. See Figure 7.
