The instrument lost power
A power failure occurred. Restart the instrument. See “Power o or
power on the instrument” on page 485.
A run that was in progress at the time of the
power failure must be restarted.
Run a control sample or perform an install
run to ensure that the consumables have not
degraded.
Replace the consumables if the results with
a control sample show that the consumables
have degraded.
The electrophoresis failed
or Current check failed is
displayed
Bubbles are present in the
pump.
Run the Remove Bubbles wizard. See
“Remove bubbles from the polymer pump
(wizard)” on page 377.
The Cathode Buer Container
has been installed on the
instrument for >2 weeks or
used for more than the allowed
number of injections (see
“Buer storage, usage, and
limits” on page 26).
Replace the Cathode Buer Container.
There is insucient cathode or
anode buer.
Check the fill line on the ABC and the CBC to
ensure that the buer is above the fill line. See
“Check buer fill levels” on page 70. Replace
a buer if the buer is at or below the fill line.
The septum on either the
Cathode Buer Container or
the sample plate is not
installed correctly.
Ensure that the septa are fully inserted into
both the Cathode Buer Container and the
sample plate.
Buer or other liquid was
spilled on top of the reservoir
septum or on top of the
autosampler.
Wipe the spill with a lint-free cloth.
There is condensation on the
Cathode Buer Container or
around the reservoir septum.
Wipe the condensation with a lint-free cloth.
Ensure that the humidity in the lab is non-
condensing.
