6 Close the doors, and wait for the system to complete initialization.
7 Make sure the logical libraries are online and continue normal library operations. Monitor for recurrence
of the problem.
8 Admin users can use the Tools > Diagnostics > Robotics > Get/Put Test to determine that the robot
is functioning properly or whether the issue repeats. Service users can use the Service > System >
Robotics test to further verify that the robotics is functioning properly.
9 If the problem occurs again immediately on the next move. or becomes chronic, contact Service for
Y-carriage assembly or Robot Controller Board hardware replacement.
10 You have three options:
a. Select Close to close the ticket now.
b. Select Exit to leave the ticket open for future troubleshooting.
c. Select Back to return to the Diagnostic Resolution.

Problem: The library robot has failed to perform a motion in the x, z, or theta axis. The detected failure is
likely to be a genuine hardware failure.
1 Open the main access door(s) and look for any obvious problems, such as damage to the robot
assembly, binding of the picker assembly, or tape cartridges and debris that may have collected on the
floor of the library.
2 Reseat any tape cartridges found extending from storage locations.
3 Remove any tape cartridges found in the picker assembly, and inspect for damage.
4 Close this ticket.

Problem: The robotics firmware has reported a specific hardware error identifying the Robot Controller
Board as the failed component. This problem may be caused by an electrical hardware failure.
