DR099 - Resolve Barcode Label Mapping
This DR provides customer resolution steps for T133 on page 332.
Problem: There was a barcode scanning error detected during an attempt to inventory the library. Possible
causes:
• Improper application of barcode label(s)
• Magazine(s) improperly seated
1 Verify that all library and tape cartridge barcode labels are properly attached, and that no overlapping
barcode labels are visible.
2 Ensure that all magazines are properly installed, and that all barcode labels are visible.
3 Close this ticket.
4 Open and close the access door, to cause the library to perform another inventory.
5 If the problem persists after the library attempts to re-inventory, contact Service for additional diagnostic
steps.
6 You have three options:
a. Select Close to close the ticket now.
b. Select Exit to leave the ticket open for future troubleshooting.
c. Select Back to return to the Diagnostic Resolution.
DR100 - Resolve Barcode Scanner Malfunction
This DR provides customer resolution steps for T134 on page 333.
Problem: The barcode scanner is communicating properly, but it cannot read any barcodes. There are two
likely scenarios:
• The line of sight from the scanner to the module branding label is blocked by foreign material such
as a media barcode label.
• The barcode scanner is damaged.
1 Open the library door to gain access to the robot. Look for any obstructions in front of the barcode
scanner (inside the picker assembly).
2 If no foreign material is found, close the access door and wait for the library to complete initialization.
3 If the initialization fails, or if the barcode scanner still does not read system barcode or cartridge barcode
labels, contact Service for assistance with replacement of the picker assembly.
4 You have three options:
a. Select Close to close the ticket now.
b. Select Exit to leave the ticket open for future troubleshooting.
c. Select Back to return to the Diagnostic Resolution.
DR101 - Resolve Tape Drive Type Change
This DR provides customer resolution steps for T135 on page 334.
Problem: The library firmware detected that a drive sled change occurred, but the replacement drive is not
of the expected type. A tape drive's type is defined by its vendor, drive generation, interface type, or
