DR094 - Resolve Drive Power Fuse Failure
This DR provides resolution steps for T066 on page 264.
Problem: A problem has been detected and isolated to a fuse that protects a tape drive power circuit. The
fuse is blown and requires replacement. The blown fuse may have been caused by a defective drive or
some other failed hardware.
Users should contact Service to replace the fuse. Note that you must shut down the library and disconnect
the library power completely before replacing the fuse.
1 View the ticket details to determine in which module the blown fuse is located.
2 Contact Service to obtain and replace the fuse (see Removing and Replacing the Drive Power Fuse
on
page 148).
3 Close the ticket.
4 Shut down the library and disconnect the library power completely before replacing the fuse.
5 Power up the library. Did the new fuse blow and create a ticket? If NOT, the problem was likely a weak
or defective fuse. Monitor for recurrence.
6 If the new fuse DID blow, close the ticket, shut down the library, disconnect the library power, remove
all the drives in the module, and replace the fuse again.
7 Power up the library. Did the fuse blow again? If YES, the problem is isolated to the module. The module
must be replaced.
8 If the new fuse DID NOT blow, install drive sleds one at a time. Check for this ticket after each drive sled
installation to determine which drive sled is causing the fuse to blow.
9 You have three options:

DR095 - Resolve Drive Sled Auto-Level Failure
This DR provides customer resolution steps for T129 on page 328.
Problem: The library is not able to auto-level any of the drive sleds. This problem may be caused by a
missing or corrupt firmware update image file.
1 Close this ticket and perform a library firmware upgrade to the current production firmware revision.
2 If this ticket reoccurs following the library firmware upgrade, contact Service for additional diagnostic
steps.

DR096 - Resolve Drive Cleaning Failure
This DR provides customer resolution steps for T130 on page 329.
Problem: After the tape drive was cleaned and the cleaning tape cartridge was removed from the tape drive,
the tape drive continues to request drive cleaning. This could indicate a problem with the tape drive.
