Example
The following example shows how to enables port ingress filtering on 1/g8.
console(config)#interface ethernet 1/g8
console(config-if-1/g8)#switchport general ingress-
filtering disable
switchport general pvid
Use the switchport general pvid command in Interface Configuration mode
to configure the Port VLAN ID (PVID) when the interface is in general mode.
Use the switchport mode general command to set the VLAN membership
mode of a port to "general." To configure the default value, use the no form of
this command.
Syntax
switchport general pvid
vlan-id
no switchport general pvid

vlan-id
— PVID. The VLAN ID may belong to a non-existent VLAN.
Default Configuration
The default value for the
vlan-id
parameter is 1 when the VLAN is enabled.
Otherwise, the value is 4093.
