Syntax
tacacs-server key [
key-string ]
no tacacs-server key

key-string — Specifies
the authentication and encryption key for all
TACACS communications between the switch and the TACACS+ server.
This key must match the key used on the TACACS+ daemon. (Range:
0–128 characters)
Default Configuration
The default is an empty string.

User Guidelines
This command has no user guidelines.
Example
The following example sets the authentication encryption key.
console(config)#tacacs-server key dell-s
tacacs-server timeout
Use the tacacs-server timeout command in Global Configuration mode to set
the interval during which a switch waits for a server host to reply. To restore
the default, use the no form of this command.
Syntax
tacacs-server timeout [
timeout ]
no tacacs-server timeout

timeout —
The timeout value in seconds. (Range: 1–30)
Default Configuration
The default value is 5 seconds.
