With this command, you specify the mode of the device.
You are in the WLAN Configuration mode.
The command prompt is as follows:
cli(config-wlan)#
Call up the command with the following parameters:
device mode { ap | client }
The parameters have the following meaning:
Mode: Access Point mode (default setting)
Mode: Client mode
The mode of the device is specified.
Note
If you change the operating mode, the device needs to be restarted. Before the device
restarts, a prompt for confirmation is displayed. If you confirm the prompt, the device starts
automatically in the new operating mode.
You display the settings for the mode with the show wlan device command.
