Recording
Every BPswitch system has the ability to record the Program output directly to the
internal hard drive of the system. The Program video output from the Broadcast
Pix software is automatically sent to the recorder through software and the audio
comes from the Master output of the internal audio mixer, as described in Audio
Mixer. Audio is automatically synchronized with the video, to guarantee constant
lip-sync.
The recorded file is a broadcast quality 1920x1080i Motion JPEG .avi file. 1 hour
of recorded content equals around 20 GB on disk. Currently recording only to the
System C or Video D drive is supported, using any other external hard drive in
unsupported any may cause system performance issues.
The created file can then be imported directly into the clip store for playback or
into a 3
rd
party editing system or play out device.
