4.2.5 Unpacking the components
Procedure
Step Installation activity
1. Compare the components included in the delivery with the dispatch note to ensure that they
are complete.
2. Determine whether any transport damage has occurred during transport and report it to the
appropriate departments.
3. Dispose of the packaging material in accordance with the country-specific regulations.
Caution
Only use devices and equipment which are in perfect working order. The start-up of devices
or equipment with external damage is prohibited.
4.2.6 Laying the cables
Introduction
The integrated distribution frame in Hicom 150 E OfficeCom and OfficePoint (edge connectors on the
board) allows the cable network to be connected to the trunk and to the extensions via screwed
connections on terminal blocks.
Installation information
The terminal blocks can be removed from the system to simplify mounting and dismantling
procedures.
The boards for system expansions and the options board contain a distribution frame in the form of
print connectors for the terminal blocks.
The terminal blocks required for laying the cables are packed with the relevant boards.
