Intercept busy
Step Action
1. Set up an external or an internal call from an extension.
2. Try to contact this extension via the CO using DID.
3. The call is either intercepted at the intercept position or it is forwarded to the extension
entered in CM.
Intercept on incomplete or wrong number
Step Action
1. Seize a line and dial any extension in the system in DID using an incomplete number (in
the case of a three-digit DID number, leave out the third digit for example).
2. The call is intercepted at the intercept position.
3. Seize a line and dial a DID number that does not exist in the system.
4. The call is intercepted at the intercept position.
Intercept on missing number
Step Action
1. Seize a line and dial a telephone number in the system without a DID number.
2. After a timeout, the system checks whether the call should be intercepted or released.
7.5.9 DTMF Direct Inward Dialling
Definition
This feature enables you to use direct inward dialling on non-DID trunk lines such as loop start trunk
lines. This type of pseudo-DID is achieved by suffix-dialling DTMF digits.
External calls that reach the system via this feature are released after a timeout if they are not
answered so that analog lines will not "get stuck".
An announcement lets the caller know that he can use direct inward dialling. A customised
announcement is available in the system. This feature requires an external announcement device.
