7.5.5 Selective Seizure of a DID Number by Stations
Definition
Before an extension can seize one of the DID numbers available in the system for outgoing calls, he
must either use a procedure or program a MUSAP key. This key is assigned a DID available in the
system. However, the number is not seized merely by pressing the key. The route, the line or the
prime line must be suffix-dialled in order to seize the number.
In the case of incoming calls, the MUSAP key has the functionality of a call key. As in the case of
line, call or voice calling keys, the LED is controlled in relation to the status of the line key associated
with it. Features such as: shuttle, enquiry, ... are available.
In the case of outgoing calls, this key is treated like a call key only after successful seizure of an
external line.
