7.2.1 Distinctive Ringing
Definition
Distinct ring cadences are used to signal different call types. This enables the user to distinguish
between incoming internal and incoming external calls. In ISDN systems, acoustic information is
secondary to displays on the screen, since different features may have the same ring signalling.
