7.12.2 Advice of Charges During Call (AOC-D)
Definition
The recording of call charge criteria basically applies for analog and digital lines.
Call charge evaluation for connections via loop start trunk lines is performed using the call charge
pulses transmitted from the trunk.
In the case of digital lines, the display on the user`s terminal shows the call charge information
received during an external call with the "AOC" (advice of charge) feature, assuming that the carrier
provides the information.
The following types of AOC are supported in the public network:
AOC-D = Advice of charges during call
AOC-E = Advice of charges at end of call
Provided that the user has not initiated another action, at the end of a call the final call charges for a
call are displayed for a specific period of time and then added up in the call charge memory.
