6.2.2 LAN Bridge connection
6.2.2.1 Brief description
LAN Bridge is an expansion board for Hicom 150 E OfficeCom/OfficePoint. It is used for connecting
a "local" LAN to OfficeCom/OfficePoint and for linking up to "external" LANs via the system's ISDN
interfaces.
Telematic and CTI functions are also supported.
The connection to the "local" LAN is set up either via an Ethernet twisted-pair interface (RJ 45
connector) or an Ethernet AUI interface
1
(Sub-D 15-pin). The connection to the system is set up with
the 50-pin edge connector of any expansion port in OfficeCom.
A separate V.24 interface is available for loading and administrative purposes.
Note
The LAN Bridge connection to OfficePoint is set up using the STLS board in slot 5.
