7.10.1 Voice Channel Signalling Security
Definition
This feature represents a protective mechanism that prevents tones from being injected in the voice
channel. An extension configured as a fax machine automatically receives signalling security. In this
state, absolutely no tones are injected in the voice channel. In addition, this connection cannot be
overridden.

Recalls Recalls are postponed until the extensions become free.
Camp-on As an alternative, the camp-on tone can also be suppressed from optiset E terminals
with display by means of a procedure (*87=camp-on tone off; #87=camp-on). This has
no effect on display signalling.
Call hold An extension on hold always has signalling security
Conference If an extension in a conference has activated "Data Security" an unprotected extension
can still be camped-on.
