7.1.2 Call Parking
Definition
You can use a procedure to park both internal and external calls. The system then places the calls on
hold, and they can be retrieved from all terminals.
The park feature can be activated only while the user is engaged in another call. The user must assign
a virtual number (park position 0-9) to the connection to be parked. The number must then be
specified when the call is retrieved.

Park It is not possible to park an undialled line.
Park A call must be answered before it can be parked.
Conference A conference cannot be parked
Call forwarding After a recall, a parked call does not follow call forwarding
DTMF If an extension has activated DTMF transmission, DTMF mode will be
deactivated automatically when the park feature is activated.
Occupied park position If the park position selected for parking a call is already occupied, a
negative confirmation tone will sound. The number does not appear on the
screen and another park position can be selected.

Performing Feature Check
Check the feature for error-free functioning as follows:
Step Action
1. Set up a call.
2. Park the call by dialling the service code (*56).
3. Suffix-dial the park position.
