7.2.17 Recorded Announcement / MOH Music on Hold
Definition
A greeting message (announcement before answering) can be played for the caller before his call is
switched through. In this regard, the announcement devices are assigned on a line basis.
In the case of UCD, music and/or other announcements can be played for the caller if his call cannot
be switched through immediately. These announcements (or music) can be played back in any order
(up to 7) until an agent in the group becomes available.
It is possible to play music on hold or announcements from a connected external announcement
device using the following types of tape recorders:
Devices that always start at the beginning of the message when activated (e.g. a greeting
message)
Continuous playback devices (for MOH)
The announcements can be assigned to each UCD group individually.
