12 Cordless Multicell Integration CMI
12.1 Introduction
Overview
Hicom cordless 150 E Version 1.0 makes it possible to connect to a radio network consisting of up to
8 radio cells and, in turn, the operation of system-specific cordless terminals in the Hicom 150 E
OfficePro system. The control board of the base stations is generally referred to as the radio relay.
The radio technology implemented in Hicom cordless 150 E fulfils the requirements of the DECT
standard (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications).
The entire radio area administered by the system consists of base stations, which together can make
up a complete network of overlapping radio cells or individual radio "islands" (Figure 12-1).
In general, a < 1 % reduction in the quality of operation of all mobile telephone systems
cannot be avoided.
Mobile telephones are fully operable within the entire radio range. The size of a radio cell will depend
on local/structural factors (see Section 12.8.2).

Every SLMC8 module is allocated a unique, fixed system number that cannot be changed (regulation
