The cabinet designated USVI1 (see Figure 6-1, below) contains the battery managers and battery
boards for the PSUIs for BC and EC1.
For reasons of heat dissipation, no more than one battery manager and one battery board can be
installed in the cabinet designated USVI2. These support the PSUI for EC2.
Installing the connecting cable
For cabinets installed side by side:
Remove the lower grill from the two rear cabinet covers.
For stacked cabinets:
Recesses can be prepunched in the bottom of the top cabinet and the top of the bottom cabinet
using diagonal cutting pliers and then broken out using flat-nosed pliers.
Caution
In order to avoid injury, exercise caution when breaking out the recesses. Be sure to
remove any sharp edges or corners.
