It may be necessary to deactivate the system number display (0) in order to obtain an
unequivocal display during measuring mode.
Key sequence for deactivating the system number display:
In order to ensure that the antenna (built into upper part of casing) is not subjected to any
field strength attenuation during the measuring process, hold the mobile telephone by the
lower part only.
Procedure: deactivating protect status, to make outgoing call
Step Entry/key MT display
1. Briefly hit the on/off/protect key
Protect status is deactivated.
Display of measuring mode remains on screen.
2. Press line key
3. Enter the extension number Entry is hidden on the screen by the display of the measuring
mode.
Displaying the measurement results
RSSI value
(Radio Signal)
Field strength of the radio signals received from the base station (value range
between 0 and approx. 190).
If the value is < 80, the radio connection to the base station cannot be guaranteed.
Acceptable field strength value is > 80.
80 is the changeover value to a base station with > 80 in the overlap range of another
radio cell.
For information on the overlapping of several radio cells (base stations), please refer
to page 12-31.
Frequency Frequency (0 - 9)
Time slot Time slot (0 - 11) of the receiving channel on which the measurement is carried out.
