Complete
The BCM5722 Ethernet controller returns a 1 on bit 15 of the
Auxiliary Status Summary Register when auto-negotiation is
complete. This bit returns a 0 while auto-negotiation is in
progress.
• 1 = Auto-negotiation complete.
• 0 = Auto-negotiation in progress.

Acknowledge
The BCM5722 Ethernet controller returns a 1 on bit 14 of the
Auxiliary Status Summary Register when the auto-
negotiation state machine has entered the link good check
state since the last time this register was read, otherwise, it
returns a 0.
• 1 = Entered auto-negotiation link good check state.
• 0 = State not entered since last read.

Acknowledge Detect
The BCM5722 Ethernet controller returns a 1 on bit 13 of the
Auxiliary Status Summary Register when the auto-
negotiation state machine has entered the acknowledge
detect state since the last time this register was read,
otherwise, it returns a 0.
• 1 = Entered auto-negotiation acknowledge detect state.
• 0 = State not entered since last read.

The BCM5722 Ethernet controller returns a 1 on bit 12 of the
Auxiliary Status Summary Register when the auto-
negotiation state machine has entered the ability detect state
since the last time this register was read, otherwise, it returns
a 0.
• 1 = Entered auto-negotiation ability detect state.
• 0 = State not entered since last read.

Auxiliary Status Summary Register when the auto-
negotiation state machine has entered the next page wait
state since the last time this register was read, otherwise, it

• 1 = Entered auto-negotiation next page wait state.
• 0 = State not entered since last read.
