The LAN Bridge board can be used for controlling telephone functions by PC. The "associated
dialling" and "associated services" features (Smart Set) can already be used in
OfficeCom/OfficePoint. CTI functionality uses the existing vCAPI functions.

6.2.2.7 Installation
LAN types
LAN Bridge is equipped with a twisted-pair port by default. For reasons of simplicity, all Ethernet
LAN types are represented with bus cabling in the diagrams.
Bus topology (10 Base2)
This standard type of cable is frequently used in Ethernet LANs. Every data terminal is connected to
the main line via a T distributor with coaxial cable. In a bus environment, the data terminals are only
connected via the cable - no additional hardware is required. However, because of the risk associated
with failures and the minimum load-bearing capacity of the network, structured cabling (star) is
becoming increasingly popular. LAN Bridge is connected via an adapter (AUI -> 10B2) and a
separate cable on the board's LAN interface.
