Subject Dependency/Limitation
Babyphone The handset on the babyphone terminal must remain off-hook after activation
(exception: optiset E with microphone).
Hunt group If the babyphone extension is in a hunt group, it is not taken into account for
incoming calls to the hunt group.
Analog CO, loop start If an external extension is connected by the enquiry feature to an extension
that has activated the "babyphone", the external line must have the backward
release criterion.
Babyphone If an optiset E terminal calls an extension activated as a babyphone, the
microphone on the calling optiset E is activated by default.

This feature does not have to be explicitly configured.
Performing Feature Check
Check the feature for error-free functioning as follows:
Step Action
1. Lift the handset (necessary only on telephone without a microphone)
2. Activate the feature by dialling the code (*88) or pressing the `babyphone' key.
3. Call this extension from another internal extension. The call is immediately
through-connected. All sounds in this room are transmitted.
