speed (DS0)
To specify the speed of the underlying DS0s in a channel group, use the speed command in channel group
configuration mode. To revert to the default speed, use the no form of this command.
This command is not applicable for E1 controllers.Note

Syntax Description
Speed of the underlying DS0s in kilobits per second (kbps). Valid values are 56 and
64. The default is 64 kbps.

Usage Guidelines
Before the channel group configuration is valid, you must define the associated DS0 time slots using the
timeslots command.

Examples
The following example shows how to define the speed for the underlying DS0 to be 56 kbps:
RP/0/RSP0/CPU0:router(config)# controller t1 0/6/0/0/10
RP/0/RSP0/CPU0:router(config-t1e1)# channel-group 5
RP/0/RSP0/CPU0:router(config-t1e1-channel_group)# speed 56
