Usage Guidelines
To use this command, you must be in a user group associated with a task group that includes appropriate task
IDs. If the user group assignment is preventing you from using a command, contact your AAA administrator
for assistance.
The bundle maximum-active links command is supported only for bundles that are not running LACP.
•
Running Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP), and the hot-standby option is implemented.
•
Not running LACP.
If the bundle maximum-active links command is issued, then only the highest-priority link within the bundle
is active . The priority is based on the value from the bundle port-priority command, where a lower value
is a higher priority. Therefore, we recommend that you configure a higher priority on the link that you want
to be the active link.
•
Another Cisco IOS XR device using the same option.
•
Another device using an IEEE standard-based switchover. (Cisco does not recommend using this option
because unexpected behavior, such as the peer sending traffic on the standby link, can occur.)
