bert interval
To specify the duration of a bit error rate test (BERT) pattern on a T3/E3 or T1/E1 line, use the bert interval
command in the appropriate configuration mode. To revert to the default interval, use the no form of this
command.
bert interval time
no bert interval time
Syntax Description
Duration (in minutes) of the BERT. The interval can be a value from 1 to 14400. The
default is 1 minute.
time

A BERT runs for 1 minute.

Usage Guidelines
To use this command, you must be in a user group associated with a task group that includes appropriate task
IDs. If the user group assignment is preventing you from using a command, contact your AAA administrator
for assistance.
Use the bert interval command with the bert pattern command. If the bert interval command is not used,
then the BERT runs for a default of 1 minute.
