Examples
The following example shows how to enter interface configuration mode for a POS interface:
RP/0/RSP0/CPU0:router(config)# interface pos 0/1/0/0
RP/0/RSP0/CPU0:router(config-if)#
The following example shows how to create a subinterface on a POS interface in slot 1, subslot 1, port 2 and
enter subinterface configuration mode:
RP/0/RSP0/CPU0:router(config)# interface pos 0/1/1/2.1
RP/0/RSP0/CPU0:router(config-subif)#
The following example shows how to configure frame-relay encapsulation on the main POS interface before
being able to configure an AC subinterface:
RP/0/RSP0/CPU0:router# interface pos 0/1/0/0
RP/0/RSP0/CPU0:router(config-if)# encapsulation frame-relay
RP/0/RSP0/CPU0:router(config-if)# commit
RP/0/RSP0/CPU0:router(config-if)# exit
RP/0/RSP0/CPU0:router(config)# interface pos 0/1/0/0.1 l2transport
RP/0/RSP0/CPU0:router(config-subif)# commit
