Usage
Bydefault,RIPversion2supportsauto maticroutesummarization,whichsummarizes
subprefixestotheclassfulnetworkboundarywhencrossingnetworkboundaries.Disabling
automaticroutesummarizationenablesCIDR,allowingRIPtoadvertiseallsubnetsandhost
routinginformationontheSecureStackC2device.Toverifywhichroutesaresummarizedforan
interface,
usetheshowiproutecommandasdescribedin“showiproute”onpage19‐15.The
reverseofthecommandre‐enablesautomaticroutesum marization.Bydefault,RIPauto‐
summarizationaffectsbothRIPv1andRIPv2routes.
