i-Key and Reader
The i-Key is used for Courier operations or optional user logon.
Note: If a previous (deleted) user was associated the same key, the system may not allow use
of the i-Key until account history is no longer valid.
Testing i-Keys and the i-Key Reader
Log In > Maintenance Menu > i-button Diagnostic
1) Place a known working i-Key into the Reader socket (hold in place minimum 10 seconds).
2) If the last 4 numbers of the i-Key checksum and serial number are displayed, the i-Key Reader
and i-Key are functioning.
3) Ensure the i-Key is linked to an account.
Log In > User Management > Modify User > User Log In Setup > Login Data
If the i-Button selection is BLUE, no i-key is linked.
a) Select “i-button” to enroll/link a key to the selected User.
If the i-Button is subdued, an i-Key is enrolled.
a) Select re-scan and enroll/link a new key to the selected User.
4) Check the cable wiring connection at the Control Computer.
