Notes on Department/Register/Mix Setup
DEPARTMENTS typically contain a group of Registers.
User groups are linked to DEPARTMENTS and all Users in the User Group can dispense or
deposit tills linked to the Registers in the DEPARTMENT.
Users linked to the DEPARTMENT can perform dispense/deposit activity for all Registers within
the DEPARTMENT.
DEPARTMENTS can be assigned to more than 1 User Group.
REGISTERS require an assigned “Mix” in order to perform till check out transactions.
A REGISTER can be assigned to more than one Department.
REGISTERS can be assigned more than 1 Mix
MIXES detemine the amount and type of currency to dispense during a till check out.
A MIX must include a schedule that allows/prevents till check out activity during specified times
of the days of the week or year.
