Removing the Coin Handler from the Shipping Pallet
Tidel recommends lifting/moving duties be performed
by a minimum of (2) persons
Things to consider before proceeding:
f Removal from the shipping pallet may cause the unit to drop slightly, resulting in damage to
flooring - protection such as a sheet of plywood can help reduce the risk of damage.
f When possible and if not hindered by steps, curbs, uneven floor surfaces... move the unit as close
to the bolt down position as possible before removing it from the pallet.
f The unit should be removed toward the rear of the pallet - ensure adequate space is provided.
1) Carefully cut DOWN each corner of the shipping carton to remove the shipping carton and
packing material.
2) Open the Vault Door and remove the (2) bolts that secure the secure the front of the unit to the
pallet.
3) At the rear of the unit, remove the (2) bolts that secure the L-Brackets to the PALLET.
4) Rotate the L-Brackets secured to the COIN HANDLER 180 - which will be used to raise the unit
slightly and re-secure the L-Brackets to the rear of the Coin Handler.
Do Not use the Vault Door as leverage to assist in
removing the unit from the pallet
5) Place the lifting device under the L-Brackets raise the unit enough to place rollers (steel rods,
PVC tubing, conduit...), under the Coin Handler cabinet.
6) Protect the flooring surface by placing a sheet of plywood behind the pallet.
7) Carefully move the unit to the rear of the pallet, until the rear of the Coin Handler can be
GENTLY lowered to the ground.
8) Slightly raise the front of the Coin Handler by placing the jack(s) underneath the empty space
behind the pallet and remove the pallet.
9) Lower the jack(s) to the lowest setting.
10) Place rollers (steel rods, PVC tubing, dollies...), underneath the Coin Handler.
11) Leverage the Coin Handler high enough to remove the jack(s) and gently lower it onto the
rollers.
Flooring should be protected by alternately placing plywood sheets in the pathway while the unit is
being moved to the bolt down location.
