Control Computer (General)
The Control Computer is a Point Of Sale style assembly that integrates the Control Computer, Display,
and Touchscreen.
Individual components are not field replaceable - The Control Computer is replaced as an assembly.
Important notes:
An expansion dongle is housed in the rear compartment of the Control Computer.
The expansion dongle IS NOT AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE COMPUTER and must be
retained when replacing the Control Computer.
The expansion dongle houses a backup flashdrive which is used to restore setup and
history files in the event of computer replacement.
The Computer does not contain wireless network capability, however, a wireless device can be
equipped to the unit (externally), if required.
Computer shut down (application exit)
In the event of operational errors, a system reset may be required to rectify the error.
It is STRONGLY recommended that a “Shut Down Computer” is performed prior to disconnecting VAC
power from the Control Computer.
Failure to perform a “Shut Down Computer” prior to disconnecting power from the Control Computer
can result in corruption of Customer database files !
WARNING: Disconnecting VAC power from the Control Computer without performing a “Shut
Down Computer” may require the use of a USB keyboard in order to recover.
Log In > Exit > Shut Down Computer
A power reset can be performed by placing the ON/OFF switch in the OFF position for a minimum of
(1) one minute.
