Installing a replacement Computer
A backup flashdrive is installed on an expansion dongle that is mounted inside the rear compartment
of the Control Computer
The dongle containing the flashdrive should be removed from the defective Control Computer for use
on the replacement computer
Ensure the backup flashdrive and dongle are installed on the replacement computer in order to
transfer setup files to the replacement computer.
WARNING: Do Not install the FlashCard on the newly installed Computer until ready to perform a
“Restore From Backup”.
1) If possible, perform a “Force Back-up” to the flashcard prior to replacement of the Computer.
Log In > Configuration Menu > Force Back Up
2) Perform a Shut Down Computer
Log In > Exit > Shut Down Computer
3) Disconnect VAC Power.
4) Rotate the Control Computer to provide access to the bottom-side connections
5) Remove the plastic cable harness cover.
6) Disconnect all cabling from the bottom-side ports on the computer.

7) Remove the Control Computer Dongle from the rear compartment (ensure the flashdrive
remains in the Dongle).
8) Remove (4) screws which secure the rear cover onto the Fingerprint Reader/i-Key Reader
housing.
9) Remove the (2) screws which secure the Fingerprint Reader/i-Key Reader to the bottom of the
Control Computer chassis.
10) Remove the (4) screws which secure the Control Computer to the swivel post mount.
