Note Recycler does not run upon startup (apply power)
1) Perform a power reset.
Prior to disconnecting VAC power from the Note Handler, perform a “Shut Down Computer”.
Log In > Exit > Shut Down Computer.
2) Perform a “Clear Jam/Errors” from the Note Recycler Menu
Log In > Status (bottom tool bar) > Note Recycler > Clear Jams/Errors
3) Check the Note Recycler USB connection on the Control Computer (inside the the Electronics
Bay).
4) Check the USB connection on the Note Recycler Interface PCB (lower right corner of the Note
Recycler).
5) Check the Note Recycler LED’s - “00” should be displayed.
If the LED’s indicate “-1”
a) Allow up to 5 minutes idle time - firmware download may in process.
If the LED’s are not illuminated:
b) Check for +24 VDC at the lower connector on the Power Supply Chassis.
c) Check the +24 VDC connection at the Note Recycler Power Distribution PCB (lower right
corner of the Note Recycler).
d) Check for +24 VDC at the lower Power Supply output inside the Electronics Bay.
e) Check the +24 VDC Power Supply (lower), output voltages on the front of the Power
Supply Chassis.
If incorrect, the +24 VDC Power Supply may be defective or require adjustment.
Note Recycler Vault is unsecure - Please Secure the Note Recycler Door
1) Ensure the Note Recycler Door is shut and the Handle is in the locked position.
2) Ensure the Combination Lock is in the locked position.
3) Perform a power reset.
Prior to disconnecting VAC power from the Note Handler, perform a “Shut Down Computer”.
Log In > Exit > Shut Down Computer
4) Ensure the Solenoid Plunger moves freely.
5) Log into the Door Diagnostic menu and block/unblock the sensors to check operation.
Log In > More > Maintenance > Diagnostics > Doors
6) Check the connection at the Vault Door Locking Bolt Position Sensor.
7) Check the connection at Solenoid Plunger position Sensor.
8) Check the connections at terminal J42 and J43 on the Distribution PCB.
9) Replace the suspected defective Sensor.
10) Replace the Distribution PCB.
