Network control
Network communication is processed using a Network Interface Card (NIC), that is integrated into the
Control Computer.
Field replacement of the NIC card is not supported and replacement of the Control Computer is
required in the event of a NIC failure.
Network Operation Check (PING)
Insure a known Static IP exists in the setup.
Log In > Configuration Menu > Edit Configuration > POS Interface Menu
1) Connect a known working Network Cable (CAT 5) from a laptop/PC to the Network Port on the
Control Computer.
2) From the command prompt on the laptop/PC enter: Ping <space> and the IP address.
3) If the laptop/PC displays received acknowledgements from the Control Computer, the NIC card
and accompanying Computer components are functioning.
