One or more Hoppers are inoperative (at least one Hopper is functional)
1) Perform a power reset.
Prior to disconnecting VAC power from the Note Handler/UPS, perform a “Shut Down
Computer”.
Log In > Exit > Shut Down Computer
2) Perform a “Clear Errors” from the Coin Recycler Menu
Log In > Status (bottom tool bar) > Coin Recycler > Clear Errors
3) Check “Hopper Reset” and “Hopper Statistics” menus to determine which Hopper may be
causing the error.
Log In > Maintenance > Hopper Reset / Hopper Statistics
If the Hopper Maintenance Menu indicates all Hoppers are functional:
a) Insure coins exist in the Hoppers.
b) Insure the coin count reflects the correct number of coins in the Hopper.
Log In > Status (bottom tool bar) > Coin Recycler > Coin Exchange
c) Remove the Hopper from the rack and remove the Bin from the Hopper.
d) Check for incorrect coins/debris in Hopper.
e) Check the feed/exit path for damage or excessive dirt build-up
If the Hopper Maintenance Menu indicates ANY Hopper is functional:
a) Insure the Hoppers are properly seated.
b) Perform a reset from the Coin Hopper Maintenance Menu.
Log In > Maintenance > Hopper Reset
c) Remove each Hopper from the rack and check the condition of the (2) power/data sock-
ets as well as the (wiring socket to Hopper base) wiring connection.
d) Check the Hopper wiring connection at terminal J4 on the Hardware Support PCB.
e) Possible defective Hopper (s).
Selections appear subdued in the “Shart Shift” menu
1) The Register or Group may be locked out due to a Mix Schedule.
Log In > Edit Users, Groups > Edit Mixes/Mix Schedules and Relationships
Some coins will not dispense to your till during a checkout - Hopper Empty
1) Perform a power reset, (place the ON/OFF switch in the OFF position for 30 seconds minimum).
2) Perform a “Clear Errors” from the Coin Recycler Menu
Log In > Status (bottom tool bar) > Coin Recycler > Clear Errors
3) Insure coins actually exist in the Hoppers and the coin count reflects the correct number of
coins in the Hopper.
Log In > Status (bottom tool bar) > Coin Recycler > Coin Exchange
