The following example enables a Remote Monitoring (RMON) MIB history statistics
group on port 1/g8 with the index number 1 and a polling interval period of
2400 seconds.
switch(config)#interface e1
switch(config-if-e1)#rmon collection history 1 interval 2400

Parameter Description
index The requested statistics index group. The range is 1–300.
ownername Records the RMON statistics group owner name. If
unspecified, the name is an empty string.
bucket-number A value associated with the number of buckets specified
for the RMON collection history group of statistics. If
unspecified, defaults to 50. The range is 1–65535.
seconds The number of seconds in each polling cycle. If
unspecified, it defaults to 1800. The range is 1–3600.
