MLD Snooping
Use the following commands to configure the switch to perform snooping on
Multicast Listener Discovery Protocol messages.
set mld
This command enables MLD Snooping globally on all VLANs or on a particular
VLAN. When enabled on a VLAN, MLD Snooping is enabled on all interfaces
participating in the VLAN. Use the no form of the command to disable it globally or
on a particular VLAN.
MLD Snooping supports the following:
• Validation of address version, payload length consistencies and discarding
of the frame upon error.
• Maintenance of the forwarding table entries based on the MAC address
versus the IPv6 address.
• Flooding of unregistered multicast data packets to all ports in the VLAN.
set mld [vlan-id]
no set mld [vlan-id]
Syntax Descriptions
Default
MLD is disabled on all VLANs.
