Related Commands
Name The name the user enters to login using SNMP.
Access Mode Shows whether the user is able to change parameters on
the switch (Read/Write) or is only able to view them (Read
Only). (The default username cisco has Read/Write access.)
Auth Meth The authentication protocol used for the specified user.
(The default username cisco is not configured with an
authentication method.) The authentication method might
be configured to be MD5 or SHA.
Priv Meth The privacy method used for the SNMP user. The factory
default user, cisco, is not configured with a privacy method.
The privacy method might be AES or DES Symmetric
Encryption.
Remote Engine
ID
The engine ID of the remote SNMP entity to which the user
belongs.
Command Description
snmp-server user Configures a new SNMP Version 3 user.
