(5) Replace the PCV valve and retest the system if
it does not operate as described in the preceding
tests. Do not attempt to clean the old PCV valve.
If the valve rattles, apply a light coating of Loctitet
Pipe Sealant With Teflon to the threads. Thread the
PCV valve into the manifold plenum and tighten to 7
N·m (60 in. lbs.) torque.
LEAK DETECTION PUMP
Refer to the appropriate Powertrain Diagnostic
Procedures Manual for testing procedures.
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
EVAP CANISTER
REMOVAL
(1) Disconnect the negative battery cable.
(2) Remove fuel tank refer to the Fuel Delivery
section.
(3) Disconnect the hoses from the EVAP canister
(Fig. 9).
(4) Remove 2 nuts from the upper bracket of the
EVAP canister (Fig. 10).
(5) Remove EVAP canister from bracket (Fig. 12).
(6) Remove LDP from EVAP canister upper
bracket (Fig. 13).
INSTALLATION
(1) Install LDP to EVAP Canister. (Fig. 13).
(2) Install EVAP canister to Bracket (Fig. 12).
(3) Install 2 nuts to EVAP canister bracket.
(4) Connect hoses.
